[LONDON] Ink Publishing has been listed as one of Britain’s fastest-growing private companies in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 League Table that appeared 3 December, 2006. The annual list, which is sponsored by HSBC, Virgin Atlantic, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Microsoft, ranks Britain’s fastest-growing private companies by their annual percentage increase in turnover over the past three years.
Ink was listed as number 41 in the rankings, achieving 92% year on year growth.
This announcement comes less than a week after Ink was announced as the International Company of the Year 2006 by the Growing Business Awards organized by the Confederation of British Industry and Real Business magazine.
Jeffrey O’Rourke, Chief Executive of Ink Publishing, stated: “We are thrilled that our efforts have earned us a place in this prestigious list. We feel a great deal of this success is directly related to the value our magazines provide our airline partners, advertisers and readers. In the last year alone we have launched magazines at the rate of one per month and have no intention of slowing down – we already have more airline wins and magazine launches scheduled for the coming year.”
O’Rourke continued: “It’s been an exciting time for us at Ink. In the last week we opened our Hong Kong office, launched bthere! magazine for Brussels Airlines in Belgium, have been appointed to be the publisher by two more airlines, won the International Company of the Year award and have been listed by the Sunday Times as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the UK. All in all, a great week.”
Ink Publishing’s citation in the Sunday Times, read:
“Ink Publishing specializes in producing inflight and online magazines for airlines all over the world. The company’s titles are published in 12 languages and on four continents, and include bmi Voyager, easyJet in-flight, AirTran Airways’ Go! and Bangkok Airways’ Fah Thai. Since 2003, when Esubstance acquired Ink Publishing, bringing together directors Jeffrey O’Rourke, Hugh Godsal, Simon Leslie and Michael Keating, the company has opened offices in Singapore, New York and Atlanta and boosted sales 92% a year from £1.6m in 2003 to £11.1m in 2006.”
